Bluewater Superyacht Bridge Services Exhibit at FLIBS 2021

Bluewater Books and Charts’ boat show mission is to exhibit and demonstrate new products and services developed during the 18 months since the start of the pandemic. Erik Speyer, Bluewater’s Director of Sales, said “Our Superyacht Bridge Services team is excited to finally be able to show clients, in a boat show setting, new navigation software, the industry's 1st digital sextant, and new bridge services.” We invite captains, bridge officers, management companies, flag states, builders, and all other interested parties to come see Erik, Toni, and team in booth # 769C in the Yacht Builders tent to see and discuss our new bridge navigation products and services.

Erik went on to say “We are equally thrilled to share a booth with our partner companies Medical Support Offshore and Telemar Yachting. Bluewater and Telemar are working closely to provide vessels a seamless transition to a paperless bridge, and we are looking forward to speaking with our clients about their options.” In addition, you will also have the opportunity to meet renowned racing sailor, Istvan Kopar,  solo circumnavigator finisher in the Golden Globe Race 2018. Istvan will be discussing and demonstrating the new digital sextant. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Below is a complete list of the most exciting demonstrations available from the Bluewater Superyacht Bridge Services booth. OneOcean

OneOcean is an intuitive and easy-to-use platform for planning routes and passages, keeping charts up to date, and managing your bridge inventory. All aspects of the passage plan are configurable, including the order of appearance, so a template can be created to suit all SMS requirements. This feature rich platform has everything you need to keep your bridge running efficiently.

Compass

Compass is an innovative piece of software designed and built to directly provide users with a multitude of new features, currently unavailable with any other chart correction and management software on the market.

NAVTOR

NAVTOR Pay As You Sail (PAYS) service uses the UKHO AVCS database, and provides a complete electronic service for temporary and preliminary NTMs (AIO). Unlike traditional ENC subscription models, which are based on set areas and license periods, NAVTOR's PAYS service only charges vessels for the cells the yacht passes through during a voyage, whilst also allowing navigators to access any ENC chart for planning purposes prior to sailing.

ARMS - Automated Risk Management Solution

ARMS provides real-time critical information that is location specific to large yachts through an easy to use graphic user interface. When a large yacht receives an alert their specific response protocols are integrated into the alert. Vessels can also report what they see through a secure portal so now information can be shared across all types of vessel types (large yachts, cargo lines, and cruise ships).

Korea Digital Sextant with special guest, Istvan Kopar

Korea Digital Sextant is the first electronic sextant in the world which is certified by CE and FCC. Cutting edge technology combined with the trusted mechanical systems of a traditional sextant to fix the position of the ship quickly in case of an emergency. Demonstrated by Golden Globe 2018 finisher and circumnavigator Istvan Kopar.
